First call for papers
Polish agriculture and food economy within
the EU framework
Because of the international dimension of the conference it has intentionally a wider than the titulary scope and will also cover the economic consequences of the 2004 and 2007 European Union enlargement and the international economic relations in agriculture and food economy between Poland and other countries. Papers with no reference at all to the Polish economy will not be accepted.
Main topics of the conference are:
- development perspectives in agriculture and food economy in selected countries, including Poland, after the accession to the EU
- impact of the EU enlargement on the developments in agriculture and food economy in the Union
- human factor and social determinats in European agriculture in the process of evolution of the European integration
- interaction between the agricultural development and the state of the natural environment in the process of evolution of the European integration
- impact of the accession of new members to the EU on the world trade in the agricultural and foodstuff products

Papers not returned in time after the review will be published after the conference.
Publication of the reviewed and accepted contributions to the conference is envisaged in a special English issue of the Scientific Journal of Warsaw University of Life Science, series Problems of World Agriculture. The journal is rated at 4 points in the Polish Ministry of Education rating. The contributions should be supplied in both paper and electronic form.
Editor's requirements
Paper template will be inserted into the conference home page(An Example Paper). The text written in the Word word processor, not exceeding 10 pages (format A4, but upper and bottom margins 5.3 cm, left and right margins 4 cm, footer 4.3 cm). Font Times New Roman, except for titles. Author.s name font size 10, bold, line space 1. Author.s affiliation font size 10. Author.s titles, postal and email adresses in the footnote. Title font Arial size 12, bold. Line space above and below 12 points. Abstract font size 8, single line spacing, indentation right and left 0.7 cm. Key words font size 8, indentation right and left 0.7 cm, line spacing below 12 points. Subtitles font Arial size 11, bold, line spacing above 22 points, below 11 ponts. Main body of the text font size 10, single spacing, justified, first line in a paragraph indented 0.7 cm. Table captions font size 8, single spacing, line spacing above 12 points, below 4 points. Table contents font size 8, single line spacing, line spacing above and below 2 points. Figure captions font size 8, single line spacing, line spacing above 6 points, below 12 points. Table or figure source font size 8, line spacing above 4 points, below 12 points. Footnote text justified, font size 8, single line spacing. Reference list first line hanging by 0.7 cm. Page numbers font size 11, middle position. Graphs, black and white, should be supplied in a form suitable for further editing in a commonly used programme. Cross references in the form of [author year] and for no-author items [title first word... year]. Reference list in the form: author.s name and first name initials [year]: title, journal, no, pages. For books after title: publisher, place. For no-author items: title. [year]. editor (ed.), publisher, place. Multiple publications by the same author in one year marked by A, B, C etc. after year.s number.Obligatory abstract of maximum 1000 characters and a key word list.
Conference language: Polish and English with no official translation.
Conference fee is 450 zloty or 110 euro.
This fee covers the cost of meals and publication of the conference proceedings but not the hotel costs. Single room in the university hotel Ikar situated in the campus costs approximately 155 zloty, a bed in a double room 100 zloty overnight. Breakfast is included in the price. The chair staff can assist in booking the room.
There are limited possibilities of assisting the foreign participants with covering the costs of living in the university hotel (maximum of 2 nights) and the publication of the contributions.
